We’re experimenting with a new offering: a Group Mentoring Program for new professionals, Date TBD.  We got this idea from the Oregon ODN, which has been successfully running these groups for a few months.

The purpose of the program is to provide a mentoring experience for people who are new to OD, L&D or facilitation, or other related areas.  Group mentoring will involve 3-5 people working together with a mentor on topics of interest to the mentees.  The mentees’ role is to contribute to the questions and content that the group will cover.  The mentor’s role is to hold the space for the conversation, ensuring that the experience is inclusive and allows active participation by all.

Date/time:  Each group will meet every other week, 5 times over 10 weeks, dates TBD – hopefully starting in May-June.

Topics will be generated by the group’s participants, including offers to share with the group and requests for knowledge or information. the source of knowledge and support, and not just the person in the mentor role.
If you’d like to volunteer as a mentor, please contact admin@bostonfacilitators.org by April 21.

If you’d like to register as a mentee, email admin@bostonfacilitators.org.
The program is free for BFR members, and costs $60 for non members.

We will hold an orientation session for those registered once we have a critical mass.
