Helping Teams Find Alignment Presenter: Beth Shapiro
Program description:
To work together successfully:
Team membersdon’t need to love or even like each other;
Team membersdo need to be able to find alignment as the basis for decisions and action on a wide variety of issues.
For so many teams, however, clashing opinions, power dynamics, personality issues, company politics, communication styles, language and cultural differences and a host of other challenges can make alignment seem quite illusive.
In this session we’ll explore a systems approach, based on Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching (ORSC), to helping teams find alignment in nearly any circumstance. Takeaways include:
The difference between alignment and agreement, and how teams can discern what they need
A psychologically safe process for airing conflict and differences
How to listen for “the voice of the system” to uncover alignment stepping stones that can lead the team to deeper engagement and willingness to compromise
How to get the team “on the same side” of any issue so that they can stop making each other the problem
