Feel like you and your organization have been on an emotional rollercoaster ever since Covid-19 hit? We’ve had to work from home, in remote teams, and now we’re figuring out how to work in hybrid teams – lots of changes! In an ongoing way, employees and leaders have to deal with organizational change, from new IT systems to restructuring, mergers and culture change - and it can be unsettling.
People react in different ways, based on their upbringing, their role, how their boss or leaders direct the change, etc. We want to manage our own reaction, whether we’re internal or external (consultants). As coaches we often end up helping a leader or a team navigate the ups and downs of change. Internals, whether in OD, HR or Training and Development may be called on to help their team or others in their organization to navigate change.
So how do we manage the emotional rollercoaster, for ourselves and for others?
In this workshop, we’ll learn about the different stages of the Kubler-Ross Change model, from Shock to Integration, and what you and your clients or organization can do about it. We’ll also reflect on whether we want to be in the fear zone, learning zone, or growth zone - and how to help others move into the zone they want to be in.
