What do we mean by “diversity”, “equity”, and “inclusion”? And what do those actually look like in practice? At the heart of DEI are organizational, societal, and interpersonal dynamics involving trust, safety, respect, openness, power, authority, and control. In this playful yet profound session we’ll explore the experience of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) through a variety of applied improv exercises, and increase our awareness and accountability by considering the following:
  • What assumptions do we have about what to expect from ourselves and others? About what is “appropriate” and “professional”?
  • What behaviors do we engage in that may invite - or inhibit - participation/engagement from others?
  • What conscious choices can we make to create a welcoming environment that encourages people to bring their authentic selves to the table, the workplace, relationships?

Come! Play! Learn! Connect!
