In this program, Martha Miser and Anna Tansi will explore ways in which OD professionals can help leaders shake off traditional mental models and learn more effective approaches that foster self-organization, innovation and emergent change. You don’t need to have attended the previous session in order to participate in this one.
This interactive program offers fresh perspectives and approaches to OD consulting in a complex and rapidly changing world. Participants will “tune up” their diagnostic skills, including their self-awareness and their ability to sense dynamic tensions, beliefs and assumptions that drive their clients and organizations. In addition, we will experiment with approaches and interventions, using a fishbowl methodology and interactive dialogue.
This session will include an overview of the key models and tools, with a focus on application to challenging business issues. Participants will refresh their skills as OD professionals, learn from their collective experiences and successes, and take away new perspectives, methods and tools that will enhance their impact as practitioners.
More specifically, during the workshop, participants will:
Learn a flexible consulting model for enabling emergence, self-organization, and adaptive change.
Build diagnostic skills and the ability to examine assumptions about ourselves and our organizations.
Experiment with methods to “nudge” the system toward change that creates more human environments and better business results.
