Team coaching in organizations is still a relatively new discipline and there are multiple perspectives on how best to go about it.  Several/many BFR members have gotten certified in the Team Emotional Intelligence assessment or the TCI (Team Coaching International) assessment; several have gotten certified in Team Coaching.  We may be left with the impression that there’s one “right” way to do team coaching.  At the same time, we form our own ideas about the best approach to working with teams from our own experience.

In this workshop, Dr. Paul Lawrence will engage us in an insightful exploration about our assumptions about team coaching – how teams work, what is a team – is it a stable, intact group or can its membership change;  it is enough to set the conditions of a successful team or should you still focus on team dynamics, can you coach the leader at the same time that you’re working with his/her team, etc. - and invite us to identify our own “brand” or approach to team coaching.  Even if you’re new to team coaching, this workshop will be valuable in helping you identify your assumptions about how you can help teams be more effective and productive.

This session will explore:

·       10 topics of debate happening in the world of team coaching

·       A simple framework for clarifying your own personal approach to team coaching

·       Practical insights on building your own team coaching model
