LOCATION:William James College, One Wells Avenue, Newton, MA, 02459
DESCRIPTION:COLLABORATIVE COACHING with Directors\n\n05/04/17 09:00 AM EST\n - 05/04/17 12:30 PM EST\Description:\nBFR’s Collaborative Coaching program has proven to be very popular over the last few years. This year we’re going to be conducting this program with one organization, the May Institute, which serves individuals across the lifespan with autism and other disorders. \Details:\nSession Description\nSeven or eight directors will bring us their current organizational problems, and in small groups we will coach each director to help them get clear about, and address, the issue. The purpose is to help the Director work through a current issue in order to advance their organization. \n\nThe challenges the Directors across the organization bring will be typical organizational design and organizational development issues – whether you work with for-profits, non-profits, or serve on a non-profit board yourself.\n\nOur connection to the May Institute is through Mike Halperin, a BFR member, who leads the May Institute’s Training and Development Department and Co-Chairs May’s Diversity and Inclusion Council.  \n\nMission:  “May Institute proudly serves individuals across the lifespan with autism, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, neurological disorders, behavior disorders, and mental illness to promote independence, choice, dignity, and respect. We provide compassionate and caring educational, therapeutic, habilitative, and consulting services grounded in evidence based practice. May Institute is committed to excellence in specialized services through training, research, and the highest level of professional expertise to meet the broad range of needs in individuals, families, schools, and communities.”\n \Location:\nWilliam James College\nOne Wells Avenue\nNewton, MA 02459
